Featuring a vertical condenser placed inside the wiped evaporation chamber, the Short Path evaporator shows a very low pressure drop across the system
EvapCare-F masters the Marangoni effect, which uses surface tension gradients to create a uniform liquid film across heated tubes preventing dry zones and thermal degradation. The combination of short residence time, vacuum operation, and low pressure drop ensures gentle evaporation that preserves organoleptic properties like color, smell, and taste. This makes it highly suited for industries such as pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, and food processing.
EvapCare-F delivers high heat transfer coefficients, enabling rapid evaporation with minimal energy use. It offers high evaporation ratios, is low-susceptible to fouling, operates under deep vacuum, and supports both single-stage and multi-stage systems even in co-current or counter-current setups. These features enhance purity, yield, and operational uptime.
This falling film evaporator excels in applications involving low-viscosity, low-fouling products, commonly found in the chemical, petrochemical, and polymer industries. It is also used as a column reboiler in distilCare vacuum distillation systems by Sulzer, and supports typical operations like product purification, solvent recovery, concentration of slurries, degassing, and stripping of waste streams.

Each client’s feed is tested in Sulzer’s pilot plant facilities, or via mobile test units, to ensure correct sizing and process performance. The evaporator features a proprietary two-stage liquid distribution system that ensures even feed coverage across all tubes—even across large diameters and lengths.
