Mechanical recycling relies on physical sorting and melting but cannot handle contaminated or complex waste streams. EcoStyrene uses advanced chemical processes to break down polystyrene into its original monomer, enabling the production of new, high-quality plastics.
EcoStyrene can process a wide range of polystyrene waste, including materials contaminated with flame retardants (like PolyFR and HBCD) and food residues feedstocks that are typically rejected by other recycling methods.
